I love Black

Black is associated with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. Black is a mysterious colour associated with fear and the unknown (black holes). It usually has a negative connotation (blacklist, black humour, ‘black death’). Denotes strength and authority; it is considered to be a very formal, elegant, and prestigious colour.

If we go through colour wheel we will get to know about the significance of all colours. All of us have a weakness for a particular colour. Even when two strangers meet they ask each other about their favourite colour. We calculate a person’s characteristics on the basis of his favourite colour. Colours are colourful and interesting! But black!! It indicates the absence of colour. Suddenly the colourful world turns stand still when the wheel stops at black! How mysterious! Which sentence is more dangerous than “you are blacklisted” at your workplace? A no salaried condition is better than a blacklisted- isn’t it? How is it to be branded as a “black-hearted” person in society? Or, you get a blackmailer in every nook and corner of streets? NO!

But What about a black belt, a black box or a black tie? They are all so important! Ya, the black has its own charm though it indicates dark. Black must be there so that you can appreciate white, or dark nights keep us waiting for the bright sunlight of the day. Or, life is all about joy and sorrow.

I love black, really! I just fall in love with a black dress, a black saree or with black coloured jewellery. I gifted black, I received black. When clothing and styles come in, I turn to black. Such a lovely colour. Any colour suits with black- a combo of black with green, blue, yellow, orange, red, beige, sea green, purple, violet, pink and white- you imagine anything and you will fall in love with them all! So. if I have a black shirt, it will go with any colour of pant or skirt and vice versa. Have a black trouser and you have so many things to wear on top- just peep into your wardrobe. You have a black purse- it will match with almost all dresses you wear or a piece of black jewellery? Try it almost every day with different dresses- you have a new look in a new day!

Many of us like a black car or a matt black one but I don’t like it much. A black sweater, a black jacket, blazer brings elegance. A black gown looks so sophisticated. The wisely use of this colour black can do magic!
