Egg Platter

The egg is an awesome food which can be easily prepared for breakfast to dinner. There are maybe hundreds of ways to cook an egg – hot, tangy, sweet and sour, you can taste all of them with egg. I am happy to share some recipes with you all which I prefer to cook often or my favourites with the eggs. My family members need eggs every day which drives me to search out for new egg recipes.

The most popular and easy fulfilling dish: Egg Biryani. I usually prefer to cook this rice-egg combo with leftover rice. Or, else I cook rice and egg in a pressure cooker to have a sumptuous quick lunch. With simple raita it tastes awesome.
Egg bhurji is another quick recipe. Add onion, green chillies, salt and black pepper powder to hot oil, add egg and cook for few minutes. A delicious egg preparation is ready. Have it with bread for breakfast with boiled or fried potato and tomato sauce. What can be a better way to have a fulfilling breakfast? You can have this egg bhurji for your lunch and dinner too.
egg curry
I don’t have time to go to the market to pick up vegetables but I have eggs at home. Spicy egg curry needs chopped onions, turmeric, cumin, coriander and chilli powder. Salt and tomato according to your taste. Have this egg curry with hot rice, chapati, toast or even with parathas. Definitely a super healthy food.
Super awesome garlic rice with egg. Add crushed garlic ginger to oil, add cooked rice, add seasoning- black pepper powder etc. Then add scrambled fried egg. Your dinner is ready.
egg salads
What I like the most is the addition of boiled egg slices to my salad. You can have your own innovative ways to prepare egg salad. Use cucumber, tomatoes, boiled potatoes, onion slices, green chillies, black pepper powder, melted butter, lemon juice and just enjoy the delectable taste!
Prepare omelettes without onion. Make a curry out of the fried onion and all spices. Bring the curry to boil and add omelette pieces. Have this with hot rice. If you want to have it with bread or chapati the make the gravy thicker. This is a recipe I prepare very often.

Another way to prepare egg salad. Add mayonnaise, plain curd, celery, parsley, salt n pepper. Egg salad ready.


Deviled egg salad. recipe shared below.


  • 12 eggs, boiled and peeled
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 3 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp cider, white wine or sherry vinegar
  • A few drops of Tabasco or other hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste


  • 1Chop the eggs coarsely and put them into a large bowl. Add the green onion, celery, red bell pepper.
  • 2In small bowl, mix together the mayo, mustard, vinegar and Tabasco. Gently stir the mayo dressing into the bowl with the eggs and vegetables. Add paprika and salt and black pepper to taste.
